PHASE 21 · CANDIDATE COMPARISON & SCIENTIFIC DECISION
Compare candidates without losing the evidence behind them.
Bring a captured research result into one decision workspace, compare candidates side by side, keep methods, warnings and provenance visible, and record a transparent research rationale before reporting.
1 · Research context
Load the active workflow context
Use the current browser research snapshot, import a snapshot JSON, or load the clearly labeled teaching example.
2 · Candidate review
Filter, sort and select candidates to compare
Sorting changes display order only. Phase 21 does not convert a score into an automatic recommendation.
| Compare | Candidate | Type | Primary sequence / construct | Source score | Key metrics | Warnings |
|---|
0 candidates
3 · Side-by-side comparison
Keep differences, warnings and provenance visible
Select up to three candidates. Empty or unavailable fields remain explicit rather than being silently inferred.
4 · Methods & provenance
Record what produced the candidates
Phase 21 shows only provenance present in the captured result. Missing version or database information is labeled as not supplied.
5 · Research decision record
Document the researcher’s choice and rationale
The decision is stored only after confirmation. It remains a research-planning record, not experimental validation.
WHY THIS MATTERS
A score is one input to a decision, not the decision itself.
Candidate ranking can help organize review, but a defensible research choice also depends on the biological target, assumptions, methods, warnings, evidence scope and what must still be validated experimentally. Phase 21 keeps those elements visible when a candidate is carried forward.
